Data-driven recommendations
As a manufacturer and supplier of high-quality brake pads to the motorcycling industry, Bendix is dedicated to providing riders with high performing brake pads through its Bendix Moto range.
We know that when it comes to brake pads, there are many variables in play, and that riders expect a combination of different qualities from their brakes such as feel and responsive when out on the road and track, durability and safety.
The safety aspects of motorcycle riding are extremely important to Bendix, that’s why the Bendix Moto range through its Ultimate+ and Street Road Track products are engineered with safety in mind. It’s also the reason that Bendix has partnered with leading motorcycle trainers, motoDNA.
Along with traditional rider training programs, motoDNA offers its Digital Academy – it’s a new and exciting way for riders who can’t regularly participate in structured training, to hone their skills and stay safer on the roads.
Riding tips tailored to you
Learning and improving riding hasn’t changed much over the years – basic skills and knowledge are taught to get a motorcycle licence, but then for the most part riders are left to fend for themselves.
The motoDNA Digital Academy changes this, acting like a personal virtual coach that analyses riding behaviour.
motoDNA Digital Academy
The system comprises of five major elements:
- 3 Pillars
- Flow +
- Data Driven
- Gamified
- Rewards
Five elements explained
The three pillars
The first element of the motoDNA system is the 3 Pillars, covering ‘Skill’, ‘Craft’ and ‘Mind’; these three pillars are important in that they underpin a good rider and riding habits. There’s no point having good skills, if a rider’s craft or attitudes are poor. All three go hand in hand.
Flow +
Flow + is the second major element. Flow is scientifically proven, high-performance psychology. The Digital Academy’s algorithms break down the three pillars into micro stages, teaching riders step by step using stretch goals and the science of Flow +.
Data Driven
The third element is Data Driven. You can’t improve what you don’t measure, and motoDNA’s groundbreaking technology uses the sensors in your GoPro, to objectively measure and grade your riding compared to other riders.
Gamification
The fourth element is Gamification or ‘serious games’. It’s scientifically proven that when you learn through play, your performance increases exponentially – plus it’s fun.
Rewards
The fifth element is Rewards. Level up and get rewarded it’s that simple. These are the five major elements of the motoDNA system available through the Digital Academy. There’s all this and more on a gamified and video-rich on-line community platform, where the riders own and control their own data.
